2024 Waterfowl Weekend

Join Presqu’ile Provincial Park staff and volunteers on Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th, for the 46th annual Waterfowl Weekend.  Waterfowl from over 20 species arrive in Presqu’ile Bay each spring to rest and feed before moving on to their nesting areas.

This gives the public a great opportunity to see and appreciate a wide range of waterfowl species. Those new to birding, as well as experienced birders eager to expand their knowledge, can learn more from naturalist-led viewings. Volunteer naturalists will be set up with telescopes to help visitors to get a closer look.

The Lighthouse Interpretive Centre will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with displays and volunteers on hand. There will be duck themed displays and children’s activities; so, bring the whole family.

The Friends of Presqu’ile Gift Shop will also be open both days.  Join the Friends of Presqu’ile for a fundraising barbecue lunch both days from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

A detailed schedule of events and demonstrations will be posted on social media and around the park. Check the Calendar of Events on our website for details.

Park admission fees apply.
